Day 2 - Animal Kingdom ( contd )

We were on our way to the river rapids when we stumbled across the afternoon parade. These are some of the pictures from it. I remember there was a horrible lady shouting at us to get behind this white line, when I think it was just David's toe that was over!

Goofy going fishing.

Some of these exotic animal costumes were being walked around by humans who must have been absolutely burning up inside.

Mickey brings up the rear of the parade of course. Fascinating how he can be in so many parks at once!
Florida Day 2 - Animal Kingdom ( contd )

Dinosaur - David showing how to clean a T-Rex's teeth

Scarlett was not happy about this one. She has a thing about nasty monsters.

These jugglers were terrific. I wish I had taken a video.

Mmmmm lunch! Ice cream and a diet coke.

The Everest ride was a good start to our rollercoaster experience. Scarlett rated them all in the end. 8 out of 10 I think Scarlett?
Florida Day 2 - Animal Kingdom

Tree of Life - if you go look really closely - there are masses of animals hidden in the carvings.

Scarlett and David - kepers of the Disney theme park maps. "where do we go now, David? On safari or up Everest??"

Everest it is then!

David, Michael and Chris getting closer to the summit of Everest. But that spade growing out of Chris's shoulder was starting to bother him.

" Dad, your Yeti impression stinks - bit like the Yak milk behind me"
Florida Day 1 - Villa.....The POOL!

It took Scarlett seconds to get herself ready to test the pool. Our stay was 100% better because of the pool.

As you can see she didn't like it all!

Look at me I can balance things on my head just like a top model
Florida 2007 - Day 1 Villa

We arrive in Clermont, Florida about tea time. I had to take some piccies of the place cos it was beautiful. Thanks Sollys. The kids couldn't believe we all had a bathroom each. This was the dining area. We didn't use it as it looked too good to disturb..........and we ate out each night!!

The lounge area and the TV hardly went on at all
.
The breakfast area all ready with the cornflakes.

The kitchen area

The garage - washing machine and tumble drier behind the door. Scarlett helped me play Mum there.
Florida 2007 - Day 1 The Journey Begins

Ann drops us off at Bournemouth train station. Spot the Mr Happy shoes.

OK so we got as far as Southampton Central ( 30 miles down only 4350 to go! ) Good old British Rail had cancelled the train we were due to get to Gatwick. Lucky we were staying in hotel overnight. We got to Ramada Plaza about 9:00 p.m., dumped the bags in the room and headed back for a scrummy meal. I can't quite believe it but we all got up for the 6:20 a.m.shuttle bus back to the airport. Breezed through security, had a good old full English to settle us down for the journey.

First glimpse of home for the next 9 hours.

We are only ever so excited but getting usd to waiting in a queue.

9 hours later and we are still practising queue waiting. This time it is the "fast track" Virgin car rental queue. yeh right!!
